The 46-year-old reality star had recently flown to Turkey for a £10k facelift. Upon returning to the UK, she was arrested at Heathrow Airport after skipping a bankruptcy court hearing.
Previously photographed with bandages wrapped around her head and face, Katie donned oversized sunglasses when she appeared at the Royal Courts of Justice in London to address her financial troubles.
Since then, Katie has assured fans that her face is “healing well.” She took to her Instagram Stories to flaunt the results of her surgery with a glamorous selfie.
The mother of five shared a close-up selfie of her face, writing, “Face healing so well. Thank you,” while tagging the clinic and praising her doctor as “so good.”
In recent photos, Katie and her boyfriend, JJ Slater, from Married at First Sight UK, were seen browsing wedding dresses, sparking speculation that they might be planning to get married soon.
Katie had recently appeared at the Royal Courts of Justice in London after being arrested at Heathrow Airport upon her return from Turkey. She had missed a bankruptcy hearing for the trip, leading to an arrest warrant.
Battling a £760,000 unpaid tax bill, the reality star was ordered to attend another court hearing concerning her finances on August 27 at 10:30 am.
Judge Daniel Schaffer was firm, stating, “You have to attend that date, no ifs or buts, no going abroad, no holidays.” Katie responded that she understood, adding, “I will move my diary for it.”
She later asked if she could attend “by Zoom or in a side room,” but the judge denied her request, saying, “No.” Katie admitted she finds it “difficult” to appear in court.
She explained her lack of legal representation, stating: “I have tried to get legal advice but have been charged £50,000 upfront. Obviously, I pay 40% of what I earn during bankruptcy and they want me to pay tax and VAT – it doesn’t leave me with money to pay £50,000 upfront for legal representation.”
“I’m finding it difficult. I can’t get legal aid as I earn – I don’t know what to do.” She added: “I can’t get legal aid because I earn. I don’t know what to do on this.”
Katie had previously addressed her upcoming arrest on social media, stating: “I would just like to thank everyone that has been showing support and compassion to my situation this week with my pending arrest. Despite what has been misreported, I am now in route back from filming my documentary.”
