Jessie J has openly shared her fertility challenges with fans, revealing that she was once told she’d “never get pregnant.”
In 2021, the pop star experienced heartbreak when she had a miscarriage.
At that time, she took to social media and wrote: “Yesterday morning I was laughing with a friend saying, ‘Seriously though how am I going to get through my gig in LA tomorrow night without telling the whole audience I am pregnant.'”
“By yesterday afternoon I was dreading the thought of getting through the gig without breaking down.”
“After going for my third scan and being told there was no longer a heartbeat. This morning. I feel like I have no control over my emotions. I may regret posting this. I may not. I actually don’t know.”
She continued: “I have done two shows in two years and my soul needs it. Even more today. I know some people will be thinking she should just cancel it. But in this moment I have clarity on one thing.”
“I started singing when I was young for joy, to fill my soul and self-love therapy, that hasn’t ever changed and I have to process this my way.”
Jessie J mentioned that she chose to have a baby ‘on her own’ because it was ‘all she ever wanted.’
However, in May 2023, the singer confirmed that she had actually welcomed a baby with a partner.
“I am so happy and terrified to share this finally. Please be gentle with me,” she wrote, revealing her pregnancy.
The celebrity couple had hinted at their relationship for months.
In one of her Instagram posts while still pregnant, celebrating the UK’s Mother’s Day, Jessie J said: “I love your Daddy so much, you wouldn’t be on your way without him.”
“He is the most patient, calm, and good-looking man.”
“You are going to LOVE him when you meet him.”

In another post, the pop star shared a heartfelt tribute to the father of her child on her Instagram story, though his face was not visible in the photo.
Jessie J wrote: “I struggle to keep things private. I think if you know me you know that.”
“I want to protect people I love and keep it for just myself… and then so often I think f*** it because life is short but I don’t want to regret it.”
She went on to say that she fell in love with her boyfriend quickly after their first meeting.
She added: “I met this man, weeks after my miscarriage in 2021, like a beam of light. He lit up my dark days.”
“It was a whirlwind of love and a miracle that we fell pregnant naturally with not one issue. Grateful doesn’t cut it. He has given me many of the best gifts of my life.”
Jessie J shared that her boyfriend was by her side during the birth of their child via C-section.
“He didn’t let go of my hand this day and I wouldn’t have been able to go through it without him,” she wrote.
In her touching post, Jessie J describes her boyfriend as ‘the calm to my crazy. The peace to my fear. The daddy to my baby. Thank you.’
She also posted a sweet photo of her baby boy reaching out and holding her finger.
